Heat Pump Grants in Essex.
Get £7,500 off a new air source heat pump through the Government Boiler Upgrade Scheme. KJD Heating Services is MCS accredited, so we handle the paperwork — and deduct the grant directly from your invoice.
How to claim £7,500 toward your heat pump.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is a Government grant that gives Essex homeowners £7,500 toward the cost of an air source heat pump (and £7,500 toward ground source, or £5,000 toward a biomass boiler). The catch? Your installer must be MCS accredited, the property must be eligible, and the application must be made before installation starts.
At KJD, we handle the entire application for you — from eligibility checks through to Ofgem submission — and deduct the grant from your final invoice so you don’t need to wait for reimbursement.
Who qualifies for the BUS grant?
Most owner-occupied homes and small commercial properties in England and Wales are eligible. Key criteria:
Own the Property
You own the property (or have landlord consent) and it’s in England or Wales.
Replace a Fossil System
You’re replacing an existing fossil fuel system (gas, oil, LPG, electric) — or it’s a new build.
MCS Installer
Your installer must be MCS accredited — we are, and we handle the entire application.
No Income Test
Unlike ECO4, the BUS grant is universal — there’s no income or benefits requirement.
What we do for you.
Most installers leave the grant paperwork to you. We don’t. From the moment you enquire, we’re on it.
